What Is A Licensed Naturopathic Doctor?

Naturopathic Medical Doctors are trained much like your primary care physician but have always been trained to be experts in the philosophy of holistic, functional medicine since its inception. To become a Naturopathic Medical Doctor, one must attend an accredited naturopathic medical school, pass rigorous board exams, and maintain the requirements of the Board of Medical Practice for the states they obtain licensure. Can You Be My Primary Care Physician?

We believe that primary care providers are an essential part of any healthcare team. However, we do not provide primary care services at this time as we are unable to provide 24/7 answering services in case of emergency, including weekends and holidays. Whether or not you are currently working with a primary care physician or OBGYN, you can benefit from additional perspective and support from our Naturopathic Medical Team. Patients are often frustrated by limited solutions, restricted time, and lack of personalization with their insurance-based provider. One can benefit from the time we offer to explain options and develop strategies utilizing the best of both conventional and natural medicine. We also help patients advocate for the solutions they need and educate them on how to maximize their healing between their annual PCP or OBGYN appointments.

What Can I Expect?

Did you know that here in the US the average appointment length with your primary care physician is only 17 minutes? Here we offer full length, personalized, natural care office visits with a real licensed, functionally-trained naturopathic doctor who has made her mission to provide you with excellent medical care.

Most patients can expect to have 2-3 medical visits over the first three months, followed by 1-3 times per year as an established patient. Labs and imaging are a separate cost. We offer guidance on lifestyle modifications, clinical nutrition, movement, and stress management techniques. We utilize natural therapies such as botanicals, nutraceuticals, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, lymphatic body-work, and gentle detox so that can improve hormone and gut health, encourage fertility outcomes, and optimize overall well-being. We also can help you advocate and formulate questions to help get the most out of your annual based appointments.

Can I Be Seen In-Person?

Yes, we offer both in-person and telemedicine options.

Do You Run Labs?

Labs are an essential part of our work to providing sound medical care. Lab testing allows us to gain insight into your biochemistry, make appropriate medical decisions, and target your specific needs based on both your medical history and your findings. Here we utilize a wide variety of lab tests and companies including traditional labs to functional labs, including but not limited to:

  • Comprehensive Sex Hormone Testing

  • Full Thyroid Panels including Antibodies

  • DUTCH Urinary Hormone Testing

  • Salivary Cortisol Testing

  • SIBO Breath Testing

  • Comprehensive Stool Testing, Including GI-MAP
